“I started my journey in art with the encouragement and support of my father, who initially drew sketches of my brotherS“
Born and raised in Khartoum, I pursued my studies at the University of Sudan’s College of Fine and Applied Arts, majoring in the coloring department at the third level. Unfortunately, my education was cut short due to war conditions, and I was unable to graduate. My artistic journey was significantly influenced by my father, who supported me greatly by sketching my brothers, sparking my initial interest in art. Later, I moved to America for primary school, where I found further inspiration to enhance my drawing skills.
Through my artwork, I aim to artistically portray the vibrant street scenes of Sudan, highlighting the aesthetic values of everyday activities such as those of street vendors and passers-by. My pieces reflect the diverse customs and atmospheres of different regions and states.
My latest collection, “Nostalgia,” is a reflection of the memories I cherish from Khartoum—its neighborhoods, bustling streets, and the charming old houses that hold countless untold stories.
