Welcome to Finoon

Why Was Finoon Created?
Our passion for Sudanese art is deep-rooted. The ongoing conflict has seen 8 million people displaced and has severely impacted artists and gallery owners, leading to the loss of precious artwork, the destruction of studios and depletion of materials. Many artists have been forced to leave their homeland, seeking refuge across the globe under challenging conditions, often having to rebuild their lives and careers from the ground up. -
What is our Mission?
Our mission is straightforward: to promote Sudanese art on a global stage and provide a universally accessible platform for these artists to exhibit their works, thus fostering artistic expression.
Finoon is committed to being a force for positive change:
-
Spotlight on Sudanese Art: We aim to bring the richness and diversity of Sudanese art to both regional and international audiences.
-
Empowering Artists: We aim to empower artists from every corner of Sudan, providing them with the opportunity to display their art as they rebuild their lives post-conflict.
-
Platform for Truth: We believe in the power of art to convey truth. Finoon offers Sudanese artists a platform to express their realities and experiences through their art. Every stroke and piece serves as a powerful narrative of the Sudanese spirit of resilience and strength.
-
Humanity and community: We are committed to supporting the Sudanese artist community. A portion of all proceeds from art sales on the Finoon platform is donated to initiatives focused on supporting Sudanese artists.

How do we support artists?
Because we believe in the power of giving back to the community that has inspired this platform, 5% of every purchase will go to the Sudan Artist Fund (SAF).
The Sudan Artist Fund (SAF) is dedicated to supporting Sudanese artists, It providing financial assistance to help artists sustain their work and offers $500 per month to selected artists. The fund operates through donations, which are managed with the help of Andariya, a digital platform focused on East and Horn of Africa.
Applications for assistance are accepted from the 1st to the 15th of each month, with winners announced at the beginning of the following month. This initiative not only aids artists financially but also empowers them to continue their creative endeavours during these challenging times. Since the start of the conflict SAF has received an average of 200 applications per month.
